Visual Art Project

Each year, First Night Newtown invites the community to participate in a visual arts project to mark the New Year.  This year’s theme celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Newtown Library.  In this exhibit, student artists from Ravens Run Art Camp & School, Holland Elementary School and St. Andrews interpreted the phrase “The Power of the Pen” in many varied ways, using paint, collage and sculpture.  The artwork can be viewed at The Zebra Striped Whale on State Street until January 5th.
